RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

GS Growth is looking for an experienced investment professional at the Vice President level to join our team in New York City and focus on investing in early-stage companies with diverse founders or CEOs and companies with a product or offering that aligns with GS’ One Million Black Women initiative. One Million Black Women is a $10 billion commitment to narrow opportunity gaps for Black women across housing, education, healthcare, access to capital, workforce development, financial health and digital connectivity.You will be involved in a wide range of transactions, which might include growth equity and venture capital investments, management buy-outs, add-on acquisitions, build ups, recapitalizations and dispositions. The position offers an opportunity to leverage investment experience and play vital role in executing the One Million Black Women strategy within GS Growth.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing new investment opportunities

• Deal origination

• Relationship management with target companies and entrepreneurs

• Technical and business due diligence

• Financial modelling

• Development of investment theses and memos

• Ongoing monitoring and support of portfolio companies

Qualifications

• Ability to interact and build relationships with senior management, entrepreneurs, and other investment professionals

• Ability and desire to analyze a wide variety of businesses across industry segments

• Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent investment judgments

• 5+

   years of experience with investing, preferably venture capital, growth equity and/or private equity investing

• Demonstrable passion for both diversity and investing

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated

• Strong work ethic and team-player
