Definition of Position
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Workday Administrator to join our dynamic team at Good Shepherd. This role is responsible for providing primary administration and support of Workday, including finance, human capital management, benefits and materials management, and finance. It is critical to deeply understand the many functional areas within the organization and its business, processes, requirements, and objectives. This role requires expertise in Workday to configure, optimize, generate reports, validate updates, and troubleshoot issues to meet our organization's evolving needs by collaborating with the operational teams. Occasional onsite travel is required.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
Manage the administration, implementation, and maintenance of the Workday platform in support of Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, and Materials Management:
Maintain Workday data integrity and compliance within the system
Conduct regular data audits and validation across all systems and follow up with appropriate teams for corrections
Analyze and recommend enhancements to streamline Workday throughout the enterprise while ensuring data integrity
Coordinate Workday quarterly updates, validations, workflows, process management, documentation, audits, and continuous improvements
Support Workday users in across the enterprise by troubleshooting problems, answering questions, and modifying reports as needed
Assist in the development of training plans for end-users, especially in HR and payroll, to carry out their responsibilities effectively within the system
Collaborate with the Workday community and User Groups to resolve issues and stay informed about Workday enhancements
Manage Workday related contracts, resources, invoices, and budget
Act as the primary support contact with Workday, assessing and communicating relevant notifications and managing implementer access to tenants
Coordinate with the IT Integration team to manage, develop and maintain system interfaces
Build and maintain configuration and features of the Workday financials and HCM applications, focusing on core financials, AP/procurement, materials management, accounts receivable, cash management, revenue management, benefits, compensation, payroll, and absence
Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and configure, prototype, and test Workday solutions for various business needs
Build, and maintain functional configurations, including custom validations, condition rules, calculated fields, reports, and dashboards
Respond to and resolve Workday issues, utilizing the latest features released by Workday
Collaborate with team members and business leads to develop processes supporting the technology
Coordinate and/or provide support and training to end-users on Workday, emphasizing accuracy and standard processes
Troubleshoot issues with Workday independently or within teams, identifying root causes and corrective actions
Collaborate with team members on integrations required for Finance, HCM, and Materials Management
Work closely with other Workday Analysts to meet cross-functional needs across Finance, HCM, and Materials Management
This position reports to the Applications Manager and will assist with developing department goals and objectives and establishing and implementing policies and procedures. This position will partner with the IT department staff and Technology Manager to provide service excellence to the Good Shepherd Health Care System community and its patients. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Education requirements may be satisfied by equivalent experience
Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience required. Experience in Workday administration, including HCM, materials management, and financials modules; certification in these areas is highly desirable. Experience in a healthcare setting required, experience with Critical Access Hospital a plus
Additional: Proven ability to develop program/project structure, detailed project management plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports. Ability to work with senior leaders (C-suite, Directors, Managers) to define and prioritize organizational initiatives. Ability to lead projects and work with vendors and staff with different skill sets and backgrounds. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills. Ability to get things done promptly with high quality and thoroughness. Detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated. Ability to maintain a "think outside the box" approach. Positive attitude, excellent teamwork mindset, and a willingness to assist wherever needed. Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Teams, and Excel.
