Wireless Connectivity Certification Engineer

Summary:

Wireless Connectivity Certification engineer is responsible for driving industry certifications with relevant certification forums & bodies like Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth-Special Interest Group, PTCRB, EMVCo etc. You will utilize your knowledge of connectivity standards and wireless device architecture to develop, plan and execute certification tests. Your continuous push for execution efficiency will secure certification grants while meeting the highest quality and on time.

Required Skills:

Wireless Connectivity Certification Engineer Responsibilities

1. Establish test bed and test platforms for various wireless connectivity certification activities

2. Analyze proposed features and identify applicable test scope

3. Establish test session requirements such as schedule, samples and supporting tools / documents

4. Drive test cycles and generate reports for internal and external partners

5. Debug issues identified during test cycles, work with Firmware / Software / Hardware teams to root cause issues and get them fixed

6. Work with test equipment manufacturers to resolve any setup issues

7. Submit reports to the the appropriate certification bodies and receive / technical acceptance

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

2. 7+ years of experience in wireless industry

3. Familiarity with wireless and certification test equipment

4. Relevant work Experience in EMVCo and BT-SIG certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with EMVCo test setups such as Comprion or National Instruments

2. Experience with BT-SIG profile test suites

3. Knowledge of NFC and BT-SIG standards and call flows

4. Thorough understanding of certification and re-certification requirements

5. Partnership skills to work with third party labs and members of the certification bodies

6. Masters Preferred

Public Compensation:

$170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
