Do you have experience operating machines? Do you have forklift experience? Are you looking for a long-term opportunity with great benefits? Randstad has partnered with a local electrical distributor that is seeking experienced candidates for its overnight shift. This position requires a background check and drug test.

salary: $21.5 - $22 per hour

shift: Third

work hours: 8 PM - 5 AM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Use a sit-down forklift to safely transport large spools of wire from storage areas to production machines for further processing.

• Machine Setup and Operation: Load spools of wire into a specialized machine that measures, winds, and cuts the wire to specific lengths based on customer requirements.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor the machine's performance to ensure accurate measurements and proper winding, checking for issues like tangling or uneven cuts.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on both the forklift and the wire processing machines to ensure they operate efficiently.

• Documentation and Reporting: Record wire measurements, spool changes, and production details, ensuring accurate order tracking and reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.

The essential functions of this role include

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 10 hours at one time
