Wic Dietitian

WIC Dietitian needed for a 12-month contract with WIC Offices in the following locations:

Baytown: 77520

Humble: 77338

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5:30p (one Saturday required per month)

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
• Registered Dietitian (RD) (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration OR
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) (licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dietitians) (Experience can take place of RD and LD)
• Preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Details:

Responsibilities include determining eligibility of WIC applicants according to State and Federal policies, providing nutrition counseling to low and moderate risk WIC clients according to State Agency policies, evaluating and documenting the need for Non-Contract formulas requested by WIC clients according to policies, conducting Nutrition and Breastfeeding education classes individually and in groups, and other duties, as necessary.
