Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder to work on aluminum and galvanized steel enclosures for a variety of end customers. The role involves 30% MIG welding and 70% TIG welding, including stud welding when needed. You will work with sheet metal to create enclosures for small to large projects, operating gantry cranes and forklifts as necessary. This position requires non-structural welding of light to medium gauges, with some heavy lifting involved.

Work Environment

Our work environment is a large and open facility with good ventilation. It is an industrial shop with machines running throughout the day, maintaining cleanliness and safety. You will be working alongside 4 other welders, with shifts running from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, or from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am, Monday to Thursday. Additional premiums are available for various first aid levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and galvanized steel materials.

• Engage in stud welding as required.

• Work with sheet metal to create enclosures for various projects.

• Operate gantry cranes and forklifts.

• Handle non-structural welding on light to medium gauge materials.

• Lift and maneuver heavy components.

• Work on various types of enclosures including EV charging stations, industrial planters, and electrical enclosures.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of TIG welding experience with aluminum.

• Proficiency in all position welding.

• Ability to read and follow blueprints and drawings.

• Experience with metal finishing.

• Comfortable using computers to track orders and tablets to communicate with engineers in the shop.

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.24 - $35.95
