    Weyerhaeuser is seeking an individual who is committed to safety, has a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a desire to work in a manufacturing environment. We are currently looking for a Weigh Scale/Raw Materials Quality Attendant to join our Kalispell team.

    This position is responsible for weighing/receiving/directing raw material purchases (log trucks) in the log yard for offloading, as well as processing weights and paperwork for product trucks. The Weigh Scale/Raw Materials Quality Attendant is the main point of contact for log/product truck drivers, and others who come to the log yard. Duties include training, reviewing and monitoring for compliance with the general safety requirements for all truck drivers coming onto the site to pick up finished goods or fines or to deliver wood, hog fuel, diesel and any other materials necessary for the operation of the complex. The individual working in this position is responsible for directing emergency response to areas on in the complex as needed and for controlling traffic into and out of the complex during an emergency situation. The Weigh Scale/Raw Materials Quality Attendant completes orders in the appropriate computer software system, monitors/operates radios for traffic flow, and completes other duties as assigned.

    Key Functions:

    • Weighs and visually checks log loads for species, quality and specification accuracy

    • Processes paperwork and weights for in and out bound product trucks

    • Records and communicates load errors

    • Interfaces with contracted truck drivers on daily basis

    • Verifies accuracy of data, attention to detail is essential

    • Processes manual tickets

    • Monitors all activity at weight scales, tarping station and trailer loader

    • Participates in the development of written processes

    • Runs and distributes reports

    • Will routinely use Microsoft Office applications and LIMS, Weigh Wiz and SAP

    • Will do general clean-up of scale house and surrounding area

    The Weigh Scale/Raw Materials Quality Attendant must demonstrate the ability to complete each task assigned, follow all prescribed safety procedures, and operate at a level that supports safety, production, quality, and environmental goals. The Weigh Scale/Raw Materials Quality Attendant must complete all required documentation each shift and required month end tasks. Key equipment includes the use of the site CB radio system, the company two-way radio, the computer and associated software and hardware, and the telephone.

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Must be 18 years of age or older

    • Ability to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures and hold others accountable for following those same policies and procedures

    • Ability and willingness to work any shift, including weekends, overtime and holidays as needed

    • Good teamwork skills, including the willingness and ability to work in diverse groups

    • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the willingness and ability to interact with contractors

    • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which includes willingness to lift 2-20 poundsregularly, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, climb steps and ladders, work from heights, work in small and restricted areas and stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time for 10 hours

    • Excellent organization and time management skills

    • Must have basic computer skills

    • Ability to work in various weather conditions; (Hot/Cold, Wet/Dry)

    • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
