We are seeking a Web Application Developer to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD .

Responsibilities:

• Provide mid-level to senior application development support for custom web-based applications.

• Work with a small team of application developers to assist with developing and implementing custom web and native software solutions.

• Collaborate with customers to understand and define requirements and incorporate them into the software.

• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements:

• Experience working with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; using AJAX with JSON.

• Experience developing web applications and working with relational databases.

• Ability to learn new language syntax quickly.

• Preferred experience in full-stack (front-end and back-end) development and using RESTful web services.

• Knowledge of good user experience / UI design.

• Experience with version control software.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors in computer science, engineering, or related field and minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; 12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a college degree.
