    About the Role

    As a Web Designer (Temp), you will collaborate with peers and stakeholders to develop/execute scalable front-end solutions that best enhance our customer-experience. You will assist in the implementation and ongoing support efforts in the execution of digital projects while adhering to our brand guidelines and reinforcing our company identity. This is a temporary position covering for a 5-6 month leave of absence.

    • Collaborate with the team to develop scalable front-end solutions
    • Build and maintain website updates
    • Design and prepare email marketing campaigns
    • Upload and tag digital assets to repository(ies)
    • Test and optimize digital experiences

    Requirements:

    What You'll Need:

    Skills:

    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro) and familiar with web design tools such as Sketch and Figma
    • Intermediate knowledge in design principles including, but not exclusive to, visual hierarchy, color theory, negative space, typography, balance and alignment
    • Proficient in the use of HTML/CSS and driven to build robust user experiences
    • Working knowledge of UX/UI best practices to provide strategic recommendations to Creative teams and ensure seamless execution
    • Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, providing clear and persuasive presentations when needed
    • Knowledge of accessibility + SEO best practices
    • Proactive, creative thinker; able to work independently and take ownership to produce measurable results
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
    • Excellent organizational skills with design files as well as great attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
    • Ability to build + maintain front-end experiences preferred
    • Working knowledge of JavaScript/JavaScript Libraries a plus
    • Working knowledge of PHP a plus

    Education

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design or other related fields preferred

    Experience

    • 3+ years' experience in a web designer role
    • 1+ years' experience working within Magento 2 environment
    • Experience in the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries is highly preferred

    Competitive Compensation:

    • The expected hourly range for this position is $40.87-$45.67 per hour. The exact hourly rate is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
