POSITION PURPOSE
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective management and smooth operation of the warehouse. They oversee all warehousing activities including assisting Operations Manager with inventory management, layout design, administrative maintenance, and material handling processes such as put-away, picking for production, and outbound order staging. This role ensures that all activities are executed in accordance with the organization’s policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*
Operational Responsibilities:
Oversee
I
nventory management, warehouse layout, warehouse maintenance, put-away and picking for production, as well as picking for outbound and staging.
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with the OSHA, e
nsuring that all workers are aware of hazards, and implementing
appropriate safety
measures.
Implement and
maintain
warehouse best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
Ensure that all warehouse-related documentation, including inventory records, shipment logs, and equipment maintenance logs, are up-to-date and
accurate
Lead the put-away process for incoming stock, ensuring materials are stored securely and can be easily retrieved.
Direct the picking and staging activities, ensuring orders are accurately fulfilled and ready for dispatch in line with outbound priorities.
Monitor the quality of work across the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Provide feedback to
the
Warehouse Operations Manager
on warehouse performance, suggesting areas for improvement.
O
versee training initiatives for warehouse staff, emphasizing best practices in material handling, safety, and equipment usage.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining warehouse processes and enhancing efficiency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Team Management
Supervise
the
performance and productivity
of 5-10 members, ensuring compliance with labor laws and workplace standards.
Leverages forklift
utilization
reporting to coach team and individuals toward expected levels of performance
Assist
Operations Manager
with work processes and work-related concerns or issues.
Listens to employee
concerns
and
assist
to
mitigate fair resolution.
Holds employees accountable for misconduct, not meeting expectations, or not
complying with
company policies or procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Leadership Skills Required

experience as a supervisor
in a
manufacturing
environment
with knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations
and
warehouse operations
Ability to influence people and get results through others.
Strong ability to collaborate and build internal and external relationships.
A strong customer focus and service orientation.
Authentic and approachable personality that can connect with a diverse range of people.
A motivated self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team.

Education/Technical Skills Required
High School degree,
diploma
or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
3-5
year’s
distribution center,
logistics
, or warehouse experience
required
Proficiency
in MS Office: Word, Excel, AX, Outlook.
Strong prioritizing and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong problem-solving, working understanding of the 5’s Lean process,
teamwork
and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage
time, and
meet all specified deadlines.
Bi-lingual, English Spanish, a plus
Forklift certified.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to
lift up
to 50
lbs
which includes occasional and repetitive lifting.
Sitting 10%, walking 60%, standing 30%.
Mobility in warehouse environment.
Long periods
of standing,
twisting
and bending.
Position involves computer work
and use of other standard office equipment
