    Position Overview

    • Warehouse Material Handler and Forklift Operator oversee safely operating forklifts and other machinery to move materials within a warehouse. This position also requires computer data entry.

    • Relocation will not be offered for this role.

    Responsibilities

    • Safety Compliance:

    • Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations for operating forklifts and other equipment.

    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to prevent accidents.

    • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.

    • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety boots and glasses.

    • Material Handling:

    • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

    • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.

    • Transport goods to designated storage areas, such as shelves, pallets, or racks.

    • Perform stock rotation, ensuring older products are used first (FIFO: First In, First Out).

    • Organize and maintain materials and supplies in the warehouse according to established procedures.

    • Inventory Management:

    • Assist in taking inventory by counting, sorting, and identifying materials.

    • Ensure that inventory is stored in an orderly manner, easy to locate and retrieve.

    • Record and track inventory movement and report discrepancies or damage.

    • Help with unloading shipments, checking the accuracy of orders, and ensuring proper labeling.

    • Perform computer data entry.

    • Team Association:

    • Work closely with other warehouse staff, such as inventory clerks and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations.

    • Assist in training new staff or temporary workers on equipment usage and safety protocols.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Education andExperience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    • 1 year of experience into manufacturing field.

    • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or material handling role is helpful.

    • Ability to obtain forklift certification.

    • Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy.

    • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP and other MS Office computer tools.

    • Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days
