Warehouse Associate

Aerotek is seeking an experienced warehouse clerk for a robotics manufacturing client in the east end. The ideal candidate should have worked independently in a warehouse, maintaining inventory and managing shipments from various suppliers.

Job Description

The candidate is responsible for getting materials ready for kitting and keeping stock manageable for production in the warehouse. Our client is in the east end, and specializes in robotics manufacturing.

• The warehouse stores parts for assembly and testing as well as shipping out completed products until they are ready to go.

• The candidate will need to operate a pallet jack, use an RF scanner for inventory tracking, and have good writing skills for documentation.

• Strong computer knowledge is essential as everything is tracked in their system, which works across all departments.

• Some robots are heavy, but there is equipment to help; however, the candidate must be able to lift 50+ lbs comfortably.

Responsibilities

• Track inventory levels and report to production as needed.

• Prepare materials for kitting and manage stock for production.

• Store parts for assembly and testing.

• Operate a pallet jack for moving materials.

• Use an RF scanner for inventory tracking.

• Ship out completed products.

• Perform general labor duties and help around the site during downtime.

• Lift heavy items (50+ lbs) comfortably.

Essential Skills

• Experience with material handling in a warehouse environment.

• Experience in receiving materials and managing inventory from various suppliers.

• Experience with tracking inventory levels.

• Strong computer knowledge for tracking systems.

• Ability to operate a pallet jack and RF scanner.

• Good writing skills for documentation.

• Experience with forklifts considered an asset.

Work Details

• The production and warehouse areas are attached, HVAC regulated, and feature lots of natural light.

• The environment is quiet, clean, and has no smell.

• There are high stock shelves, and typically 5-6 people working at a time.

• Pay: $19-$21/hour based on experience.

• Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

• Bus accessible site, located around Industrial Ottawa

• Start Dates: Early January.
