    Amentum seeks a Vice President of Strategic and Technical Solutions responsible for leading initiatives that will grow the company's business base in areas of current capability and experience as well as strategic targeted areas of opportunity. The position will work closely with CGO/CTO leadership to develop the strategy and leverage existing company expertise and customer base to achieve business growth objectives. Position will be based in Northern Virginia with a hybrid work environment. US Citizenship is required.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Participates with leadership in the development of business strategies and plans. Supports the strategic development of the business by leveraging existing company expertise and customer base.

    • Leads initiatives that will grow the company's business base in areas of current capability and experience as well as strategic targeted areas of opportunity.

    • Provides new and existing business prospects with consultative, strategic advice and solutions during pre-sales discussion; facilitate and attend targeted qualified prospect meetings to generate new business.

    • Leads targeted proposal efforts through development and completion.

    • Interfaces and consults with customer base to ensure optimum level of customer satisfaction and discerns emerging challenges and opportunities regarding Information Technology.

    • Drives improvements and efficiencies with currently implemented technologies and recommend the adoption of new technologies.

    • Participates as a key member in joint strategic account planning and business reviews (roadmaps, innovation, etc.) and tactical activities (governance, performance objectives, critical milestones) to ensure client/company needs and expectations are met.

    • Represents the company as a participant in executive level panels, projects, symposia, etc. exploiting current areas of expertise such as reliability. Use these activities to influence and capture growth work specific to the business.

    • Maintains organized personal work management techniques and sets level of performance for the discipline.

    • Maintains positive working relationship with peer leaders.

    Knowledge and Skills :

    • Demonstrates a proven track record of developing and managing complex relationships across multiple functions.

    • Advances innovative ideas through sound business case and partnership development.

    • Demonstrates financial acumen; can model and craft complex deal structures and, working with Finance and Operations translate these into revenue-generating opportunities.

    • Proven experience building and managing diverse teams.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Works collaboratively; can work cross-functionally to identify opportunities, generate buy-in, and execute on jointly defined action and project plans; is willing to challenge the status quo to drive significant increases in margin and recurring revenue.

    • Possesses a good understanding of the major trends, participants, product/service segments, offerings, and business models relevant to the rapidly and dynamically changing business environment.

    Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    A bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred but not required.

    Typically possesses 20+ years of strategic alliance, sales/deal management, or product management and partnerships development experience in an industrial environment.

    Strong technical expertise in cyber and IT.

    Experience leading solutions and customer interaction resulting in over $1B contract wins.

    US citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance at a Secret Level.
