VP/Director of Finance

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in the education industry, located in South Portland, Maine. The individual with experience in grant work, reconciliation, budgeting, and team management will be a great fit for this role. This role is central to our operations and demands an individual well-versed in not only managing a fast paced financial and accounting department, but able to assist in change management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including the development and management of budgets.

• Provide leadership and direction to the finance team.

• Implement and manage accounting software systems.

• Ensure accurate financial records, including accounts payable (AP) and annual budget.

• Conduct auditing and budget processes to ensure financial stability and compliance.

• Manage and reconcile the organization's financial accounts..

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements - Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance leadership role

• Proficiency in 3M required

• Expertise in using Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential

• Experience with Concur is a prerequisite

• Must have a strong background in using CRM systems

• Proficient in handling all Accounting Functions

• Extensive experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Must have experience in preparing the Annual Budget

• Auditing skills are necessary

• Knowledge of Budget Processes is compulsory
