Our client in Columbus, OH is seeking a VMware Systems Administrator to join their team. As a VMware Systems Administrator, you will be part of the IT department supporting virtualized environments and ensuring high availability for both Linux and Windows-based systems within a VMware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, proficiency in administering Linux-based systems, and solid knowledge of Windows Server environments.

Job Title: VMware Systems Administrator

Location: Columbus, OH

What's the Job?

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter, etc.)

• Perform system administration tasks for Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment

• Manage virtual machine deployments, migrations, and snapshots

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across VMware, Linux, and Windows platforms

• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions

What's Needed?

• Strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter

• Proficiency in administering Linux-based systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

• Solid knowledge of Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022)

• Familiarity with virtualization concepts, including VM provisioning, networking, and storage

• Experience with system monitoring, patching, and backups
