Our client, the first MDI bank in Indiana opening in Q2 2025, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join their team. As a VP of Operations, you will be part of the Executive Team. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, leadership and adaptability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Vice President of Operations

What's the Job?
Under the guidance of the CFO/COO, responsible for development and oversight of the operational risk management programs including facilities/bank security.
Responsible for overseeing backroom operations including liaison with data and item processing providers.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the Bank's day-to-day operations.
Responsible for ensuring that branch and deposit operations activities are compliant with policies and procedures and meet all regulatory, legal and compliance requirements.
Assist in managing the bank's overnight funds position and reserve requirements, correspondent bank balances, and Fed Funds with the goal of maximizing earnings.
What's Needed?
8+ years in banking operations, with experience in risk management, compliance, and back-office processes.
Proficiency in regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FFIEC, FDIC).
Strong understanding of item processing, deposit operations, and risk mitigation controls.
Familiarity with correspondent banking, cash position monitoring, and funds transfer processes.
Demonstrated success in managing operational teams, systems installation, and maintenance oversight.
