    Kellogg Community Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Information Technology to join our team!

    As the Vice President of Information Technology, you will be responsible for assisting, planning, and managing the Information Technology infrastructure of the credit union. You will help to develop short- and long-term technology plans to provide efficient, cost-effective, and forward-thinking technology tools to the credit union. You will lead the information technology team to provide successful tools to the rest of the KCCU Team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Works with direct reports and CIO to develop and oversee the implementation of long- and short-term strategic operational plans for information technology that aligns with the organization's strategic priorities and business needs.
    • Develops strategies, goals, and metrics to ensure the IT department runs smoothly and effectively.
    • Accountable for improving business continuity processes for the organization, including disaster recovery, departmental recovery plans, collaboration with departmental leaders to develop business impact assessment, computer security and loss prevention plans, antivirus and firewall protections, and more.
    • Researches industry trends in technology to ensure the credit union remains competitive in its product and service offerings. Keeps abreast of changing trends in technology to include hardware, networks, network tools, software, and systems.
    • Evaluates, creates, and adapts technology platforms to enhance member and staff experience.
    • Negotiates cost-effective contracts for the purchase of new systems, hardware, software, or peripherals. Negotiates cost-effective contracts for service warranties, maintenance programs, or IT consultants to support the credit union's technology infrastructure.
    • Develops, updates, monitors, and continuously ensures compliance with the disaster recovery plans, computer security and loss prevention plans, antivirus and firewall protections, and more.
    • Ensures that operational manuals and documentation are accurate and up to date. Ensures that processes comply with State and Federal rules and regulations.
    • Prepares, implements, and supervises the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
    • Develops, applies, and evaluates policies and procedures for the department.

    Requirements:

    • Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.
    • Bachelor's degree, professional certification, or a master's degree.
    • Required to travel and work from Battle Creek Michigan office on a regular basis
    • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and influence others.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risk.
    • Strong attention to detail, strong computer skills, and excellent time management skills.
    • Effective communication skills, written and oral.
    • Ability to interact with others on a regular basis, build and foster relationships.
