Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

The Value Stream Specialist II - Advanced Composite Manufacturing is a supervisory position involving a team of technicians as your direct reports. This position is responsible for leading a fast-paced manufacturing production line building highly complex composite aerospace components.
In addition to leading a team of direct reports, you will be interfacing and communicating production objectives and priorities to a cross functional team.
Interfacing with indirect reports including leadership, engineering, supply chain, quality, logistics, facility maintenance, customers, inspection, machining departments, and testing facilities.
Leading the team's short- and long-term objectives.
Day to day priorities, scheduling, and program execution will require your leadership and oversight.
Responsible to lead and drive the team's quality, delivery, and cost targets.
Serve as the interface to upper leadership and will be required to lead and effectively communicate the production line status.
Often managing and leading complex projects in a manufacturing and corporate setting.
Managing and leading your staff's, hiring, retention, employee career growth, and development.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Previous leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills interfacing with team members, leadership, and customers.
Ability to effectively communicate complex scenarios in a professional business corporate setting.
Previous experience monitoring and driving a team's quality, cost, and schedule.
Leading a team with project management skills.
Experience using data analytics to drive decisions and direction to a team.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree or 2 years' equivalent manufacturing work experience.
Preferred experience in a composite manufacturing environment.
Previous experience leading a team of direct reports.
Supply chain, project management, and quality experience.
Familiarity with lean concepts and lean project management.
Knowledge and experience managing a team under aerospace manufacturing compliance standards (FOD control, Personal Protective Equipment, Safety).
Analyzing complex data to drive decisions, objectives, and provide feedback to a team's performance.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $66084 - $112343
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
