About the role:
The Utility Account Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing customer relationships with the utility company. This role requires strong customer service skills, a deep understanding of utility services, and the ability to provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs. This role will report into the Vice President, Partnerships and Consortium.
Responsibilities:
Utility / IPP Market Intelligence
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their primary point of contact for all utility-related matters.
Needs Assessment:
Identify and understand the customer's specific energy needs and usage patterns.
Rate Analysis:
Analyze different rate structures and tariffs to recommend the most cost-effective options for the customer.
Energy Efficiency:
Promote energy-efficient practices and technologies to help customers reduce their energy consumption and costs.
Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate and manage contracts with our utility/IPP counterparties.
Problem Resolution:
Resolving customer complaints and issues related to utility services.
Experience
Undergraduate Degree (preferably in business, marketing, finance)
Minimum ten years of experience in customer service or a related field
Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of utility industry practices and regulations
Ability to analyze data and identify trends
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., CRM systems, billing software)

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range is $118,000 - $140,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company's discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
