    Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Usability Researcher located in Redmond, WA to join their team for a remote position. This resource will conduct innovative generative and evaluative research to assist in product design and to better understand user experiences.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Drive, conduct, and collaborate on user research to clarify and gain better understanding of the needs and desires of the target users, mapping out user flows / journeys, validating the concept + designs, and driving and synthesizing insights that will facilitate the design / development of intelligent features and capabilities

    • Document and present insights and recommendations based on research and analysis

    • Work closely and collaboratively with Design (designers, researchers, content Strategists), PM, Data Science, and Engineering partners to design and ship the product experiences that delight the target users and customers and help them more

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • A minimum of MA / MS in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field, OR significant industry experience

    • A minimum of 2 to 4+ years of experience conducting product design research with demonstrated experience with a wide variety of design research methodologies including, but not limited to: usability studies, synthesis, field studies, in-depth interviews, heuristic evaluations, concept validation, user journey maps, competitive reviews, and surveys

    • Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills - sharing insights with a wide audience of cross-discipline stakeholders, ranging from AI experts to those starting to learn about AI

    • QUANT background (Surveys / Experimental) preferred (asking innovative question in tough areas)

    • Ability to quickly and effectively analyze research data and present actionable insights simply and clearly to influence product design and direction

    • Comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders, with ambiguity and reaching goals and ultimate missions / charters

    • Comfort tackling challenging research questions and transforming them into concrete study plans

    • Experience in conducting product-related, gen-AI UX research is a plus but not a requirement

    • Must have a desire to learn about AI and quickly ramp up on technical aspects and user bases

    Pay Range: $62.50 - $67.00/hr DOE
