    Description:

    Unit Director / Acute Care

    7am-3:30pm/ Full-Time/40 hours

    We're seeking a dedicated

    Unit Director

    to continue the growth of our Acute Care Nursing unit at Emory Decatur Hospital. As the Unit Director, you'll lead a team of passionate RN's and support staff, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care while maintaining operational excellence.

    This individual will:

    • Oversee unit management: Direct all aspects of managing a nursing unit to ensure optimal patient care.

    • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and strategies.

    • Develop, submit, and manage the department budget, ensuring compliance with fiscal constraints.

    • Direct resource allocation through planning, budgeting, and data analysis.

    • Supervise nursing staff, ensuring competence and compliance with policies and regulations.

    • Implement and coordinate continuous quality and performance improvement initiatives.

    • Develop and assess short- and long-term departmental goals and measurable objectives.

    • Plan staffing needs, create schedules, hire staff, and resolve staffing issues.

    • Monitor and enhance nursing care, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

    • Support staff development, participate in professional activities, and maintain confidentiality of clinical information.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

    • Master's degree in nursing required.

    • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.

    • Five years of experience which includes three years of clinical nursing and two years of nursing leadership.

    • BLS required. Some jobs in this classification may require ACLS and Healthcare Provider certifications.
