  • Summary Description

    Records cash receipts to the cash receipt sub ledger system and utilized remote deposit to transfer funds to the bank. Processes credit card information for mail in payments and works with outside areas to process credit cards. Reconcile daily Cafe deposits. Handle patient valuables and prepare for abandoned property. Provide training and maintain an inventory of credit card devices used across the health system.

    Prepare accounts payable or patient refund checks for distribution or mailing. Responsible for reconciling and sending HP24 payments and files.

    Validate and post daily ACH payments to patients accounts. Clear posting edits to allow cash batches to close. Build manual cash batches for posting.

    Job Requirements

    1) Remote Deposit checks received for all BH entities and enter into AR subsystems

    2) Reconcile Café daily deposits.

    3) Open, sort, and deposit Live Mail

    4) Patient valuables that are left behind at BMC after the patient has been discharge are prepared for abandon property.

    5) ACH payments received for various BH entities that need to be posted to Fast Cash. (i.e. H.R, AHA, Pharmacy etc.)

    6) Checks issued by BH are brought here for distributrion and/or mailing with appropriate backup.

    7) Reconcile and process daily HP24 payments and files. Print and batch any returns, denials or chargebacks.

    8) Post daily ACH payments to patients accounts.

    Skills/Competencies:

    1) Advanced PC Skills (Windows Explorer, Word, Excel, Access, Fast Cash, SMS, IDX)

    2) Strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills

    3) Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

    4) Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently prioritize projects

    5) Extremely detail oriented

    6) Ability to multitask

    Required Expereince

    3 to 5 years experience
