Your Key Responsibilities
Structural analysis & design related to bridges and other transportation infrastructure per established codes, standards, drawings and other specifications
Condition evaluation of existing structures
As a team member, carry out Bridge Inspection and report preparation
As a team member, assists Bridge Condition Survey
Use of structural design tools such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge, SFrame, Midas Civil, AutoCAD
Expanding responsibilities will be assigned upon demonstrated competence from the successful candidate
Prepares/assists in preparing engineering plans, documents, schedules or reports, as assigned
Prepares construction cost and life cycle cost estimates
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Working both in office and field environment
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Strong computer skills including experience with Midas Civil, SAP2000 / SFrame / AutoCAD and similar software is a definite asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience
Civil or Structural Engineering graduate eligible for registration as an EIT or P.Eng.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
