    Summary of Position

    In this role, you will monitor and manage a variety of logistics-related tasks to ensure reliable and ethical transportation of Knauf Insulation's products. Follow procedures for distribution to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Communicate within Knauf and service customers with the best option for delivery. In addition, this role is accountable for tendering freight to carriers according to company expectations and communicating changes that develop on outbound shipments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Tender freight to the appropriate carriers according to Strategic Logistics initiatives

    • Regularly communicate with Customer Service Representatives, carriers and customers to follow up on deliveries and collect information to make appropriate changes to orders in SAP as needed

    • Monitor EDI-tendered freight for acceptance or rejection

    • Investigate, track and resolve detention notices and late deliveries

    • Take the initiative to escalate potential transportation issues to the leadership team; Monitor transportation issues for delivery requirements in support of operational requirements

    • Timely coordination/scheduling of pick-up and deliveries to/from factories, Suppliers and Customers including running daily reports and following up with carriers on trailers not picked up

    • Responsible for on-time delivery and freight costs for assigned plant

    Qualifications:

    Education

    • Associate's Degree; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred

    Experience:

    • Minimum two (2) years of transportation-related work
