    Work schedule is 8am - 6:20pm, Tuesday through Friday.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and plan domestic and international shipments. Ensure all orders are correct before processing (correct address, shipping terms, skidding, etc.). Prepare packing lists, calculate information for shipment and prepare dock receipts. Verify all trucks finished in production have been closed and paperwork received by traffic. May process paperwork for Canadian and Mexico shipments. Trace both domestic and international outbound shipments. May quote rates for domestic shipments. Resolve shipment discrepancies by communicating with the appropriate company personnel.

    • Create bills of lading and invoice domestic and international shipments. Input shipping details into software system. Calculate freight charges. May enter inventory data into the software system. May type NAFTA Certificate of Origins for various Canadian customers and brokers for Canada and Mexico. Work with Accounting department on invoice questions.

    • Generate and/or receive bills of lading to load and unload lift trucks accordingly. May ensure lift trucks are secured for shipment by blocking and loading appropriate. Process international receipts in accordance with CPTAT process. Process appropriate inventory transactions within ERP system to receive, transfer inventory, and allocate inventory as required.

    • Plan shipments based on finished inventory and what is coming due. May communicate sales order requirements daily to PTH assembly area. Process and record back order requirements. Coordinate and plan loads for special accounts (ex: Wal-Mart, Momatt, NW Handling, etc.). Look forward in production schedule to forecast and complete shipments and to forecast for consolidation of West Coast loads and advise New Bremen Shipping Department and Traffic Manager. May obtain Ocean Bookings in Advance.

    • Assist employees, other departments, branches and freight carriers with shipping and receiving questions, problems and issues. May contact IS and Sales personnel when necessary to resolve sales orders or invoicing issues. When changes are made, ensure all pertinent personnel have necessary information (computer sessions) and training (usually via telephone). Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Prior experience in transportation or logistics. Computer skills. Basic reading, math, memory, reasoning, canalization and organization skills.

    • Experience with SAP helpful.

    • Per 10-hour shift. Sit 6 hours and stand 4 hours. Typical office environment (Low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations.) Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. May infrequently lift 41 - 50 pounds. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
