    Trading Manager - Saint Louis, MO

    Position summary:

    This individual will report to the Regional Manager as a part of the local and regional merchandising team. The Trading Manager, acting as part of the team, will be accountable for the procurement of grain and/or the marketing of finished products to achieve optimum financial results. The position will have responsibilities including but not limited to logistics, origination, customer service, accounting and trading. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customer and vendor accounts. The level of responsibility given will be dependent upon the experience, capabilities and performance of the individual.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Trade basis position and manage spread risk for the St. Louis River Region (St. Louis and Sauget).

    • Participate in month-end and quarterly accounting activities.

    • Help form and implement general trading, growth and operational strategy.

    • Manage transportation logistics including trading of the barge freight itself.

    • Originate grain for company assets and positions.

    • Drive growth and efficiencies in the Sauget barge top off program.

    • Other miscellaneous management and merchandising activities.

    • Coordinate merchandising and transportation activities with other ADM offices in region.

    • Communicate with the operations staff regularly.

    • Strategically seek out new business to drive growth.

    • Understand and has strict adherence to corporate compliance policies.

    • Works to attain positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions & responsibilities

    • Portrays a positive image of the company and self when interacting with customers & colleagues

    • Is willing to work outside normal business hours including weekend

    Qualifications:

    • University degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting) and a minimum of five years of grain merchandising experience

    • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

    • Ability to excel within high-risk fast-paced work environment

    • Ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions

    • Negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment

    • Computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software

    Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

    If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    The pay range for this position is expected to be between

    :

    $110,100.00 - $205,200.00

    Salaried Incentive Plan:

    The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
