What are your contributions to the team?
We are looking for a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to fabricate fixtures, gages, and tooling using aerospace specifications.
You will utilize blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to fabricate or repair tooling, gauges, and machinery on the assembly floor.
Supporting the production team in a timely manner and assuring the safe operation and care of tool room equipment are key responsibilities.
You will ensure quality standards are being met per customer requirements, assess complex tooling and equipment needs, and refurbish as required.
Troubleshooting and resolving tooling problems independently is essential.
Additionally, you will set up and operate all tool room equipment independently, strive to continuously improve tooling, and reduce manufacturing errors or scraps.
Maintaining a clean and organized workstation is expected.
You must be willing to share your knowledge of the trade, train apprentices, and instruct other machinists on larger jobs.
How to thrive in this role?
Must have Industrial Millwright 430A Red Seal Certificate and apprenticeship
Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker
Hands-on experience with equipment and machinery
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Attention to detail
Ability to work weekend night shift.
