Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker who holds a high school diploma or equivalent, along with proof of license and apprenticeship. The ideal candidate will fabricate fixtures, gages, and tooling using aerospace specifications, and utilize blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to fabricate or repair tooling, gauges, and machinery on the assembly floor. This role requires support for the production team in a timely manner and ensuring quality standards are met per customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate fixtures, gages, and tooling using aerospace specifications

• Utilize blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to fabricate or repair tooling, gauges, and machinery on the assembly floor

• Support the production team in a timely manner

• Assure safe operation and care of tool room equipment

• Ensure quality standards are being met per customer requirements

• Assess complex tooling and equipment needs and refurbish as required

• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling problems without assistance

• Set up and operate all tool room equipment independently

• Strive to continuously improve tooling and reduce manufacturing errors or scraps

• Maintain clean and organized work stations by cleaning up as needed

• Share knowledge of the trade, train apprentices, and instruct other machinists to perform tasks on larger jobs

• Willing to work shift work (rotating shifts)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proof of completion of apprenticeship and certificate/license

• Minimum of 5 years' experience with tool making

• Familiarity with CNC processing

• Ability to hold tolerances

• 430 A Tool Maker license

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CNC processing knowledge

• Blueprint reading and interpretation

• Tooling and machining expertise

• Basic computer knowledge

Work Environment

You will be working in a state-of-the-art, brand-new manufacturing facility. The shifts available are night or afternoon shifts, from 3 pm to 11 pm or 11 pm to 7 am. The team size is around 20 people in the shop, with close collaboration with 2-4 individuals per team.
