  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Manager coordinate and participate in technical payroll accounting activities; participate in the preparation, maintenance, processing, analysis and auditing of manual and automated payroll data, information, records and reports; ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll transactions; lead, train and provide work direction and guidance to staff.

    • Oversee and participate in the review, verification, auditing and processing of timekeeping system.

    • Ensure receipt, processing and auditing of employee time information and related reports and documents; oversee the inputting, coding and adjustment of employee information.

    • Identify programming errors and collaborate with Information Technology/Payroll Software Vendor to fix errors for accurate timekeeping.

    • Coordinate auditing, record-keeping and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data

    • Provide technical training and assistance to staff concerning timekeeping system and related functions; respond to inquiries, resolve issues and provide detailed and technical information

    • performs a variety of assignments related to timekeeping, run and review specialized timekeeping reports, interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, enter timecard data, and work on special assignments.

    Responsibilities Job Description

    • Knowledge of payroll and employment law.

    • Hands on experience with timekeeping system software

    • Produces work with minimal errors and can assist with detail level review of other's work.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:

    Education/Experience

    • High school/GED

    • Three to Five Years of related experience

    Preferred

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

    • Three to Five Years of related experience

    Experience

    • Experience in the Health Care industry

    • Experience in a complex organization with multiple employee groups and multi-entity employing company

    • Experience in a union environment

    • UKG system experience

    License/Certification/Registration

    FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional)
