DescriptionYork Academy Regional Charter School seeks a friendly and reliable Ticket Teller to manage ticket sales for basketball games. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to attendees, accurately processing payments, and ensuring a smooth entry experience for game-day guests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet attendees with a welcoming and professional attitude.
- Sell tickets for basketball games using cash, credit, or other payment methods.
- Verify pre-purchased tickets and provide wristbands or entry passes as needed.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer, provide change, and ensure payment accuracy.
- Record ticket sales and reconcile funds at the end of each shift.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries or escalate to the Game Day Coordinator when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to York Academy's policies and procedures regarding event management and customer service.
- Collaborate with other event staff to ensure smooth event operations.

RequirementsEDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCES & CLEARANCES:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or cashier experience is preferred.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required during basketball season.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. if needed (e.g., moving ticket supplies or equipment).
WORKING HOURS:- Part-time hours vary based on the basketball game schedule.
- Must be available during home games, typically evenings and weekends.
