    York Academy Regional Charter School seeks a friendly and reliable Ticket Teller to manage ticket sales for basketball games. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to attendees, accurately processing payments, and ensuring a smooth entry experience for game-day guests.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Greet attendees with a welcoming and professional attitude.
    • Sell tickets for basketball games using cash, credit, or other payment methods.
    • Verify pre-purchased tickets and provide wristbands or entry passes as needed.
    • Maintain an accurate cash drawer, provide change, and ensure payment accuracy.
    • Record ticket sales and reconcile funds at the end of each shift.
    • Address and resolve guest inquiries or escalate to the Game Day Coordinator when necessary.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Adhere to York Academy's policies and procedures regarding event management and customer service.
    • Collaborate with other event staff to ensure smooth event operations.

    • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills in the language of instruction.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Maintains effective and efficient record-keeping procedures.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Possess the ability to work cooperatively with others. Maturity and the ability to deal effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within the limits of assigned responsibilities.
    • Must possess computer skills.
    • Understands the importance of confidentiality and can practice it.
    • Adheres to specific rules and regulations as they apply to the discipline procedures of the building.
    • Friendly, helpful, and caring personality.
    Requirements

    EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCES & CLEARANCES:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous customer service or cashier experience is preferred.
    • Strong math skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required during basketball season.
    • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Comfortable handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
    • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. if needed (e.g., moving ticket supplies or equipment).
    WORKING HOURS:
    • Part-time hours vary based on the basketball game schedule.
    • Must be available during home games, typically evenings and weekends.
