  • We are seeking an Implementation Specialist who will coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering (Process, Quality etc.), 3rd Party Integrators, IT Application Product Driven Organizations (PDO), Powertrain Operations Manufacturing Engineering (PTME), Site IT, Hardware Installers, and Network Planners to integrate, launch, and prove out plant floor applications to support key manufacturing build dates. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with installing or operationally supporting plant floor applications in either Vehicle Operations, Battery, or Powertrain plants. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the deployment of plant floor IT systems. You will need to quickly come up to speed on the PTO applications including machine monitoring and birth history to communicate effectively with plant and PTO business resources as well as team subject matter experts.

    In this role, you will be responsible for working with vendors and internal application development and support teams to install, test, and debug assigned applications. He/she may also direct the efforts of others, including agency personnel or third-party application integrators, depending on the project assigned. The candidate will be responsible for timing their deliverables to critical program milestones such as PTR, TT, and Job 1. Assignments will be in support of programs at any of the Ford vehicle assembly plants in North America.

    • Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners at North American core and integrated Powertrain Operations plants; identify and communicate business requirements with Product Driven Organizations.

    • Manage budget for requirements in New Model Program launch projects.

    • Engage Implementation team to process vendor quotes and orders, and track order delivery to sites.

    • Manage launch project milestones, and coordinate scope with North American Cycle Plan

    • Attend and participate regularly in status meetings, to report progress and escalate issues in need of resolution.

    • Work with business partners to ensure launch support requirements and costs are accurately forecasted and submitted to Manufacturing Strategy and Advanced Planning office as part of New Model Program study.

    • Although this position is based in Michigan, the job may require travel to plant launch sites in North America during critical phases of each new model program, or as needed to support project scope.

    • To support New Model Program build events (PTR, TT, and Job 1) the candidate may be required to work during non-standard hours, such as evenings, weekends, holidays, or off-shift hours to meet plant support needs.

    • High School Diploma

    • Candidate must be legally able to travel to and work in U.S., Canada, and Mexico

    • Physically able to work for long hours on the plant floor including climbing stairs/ladders to overhead mezzanines, etc., where equipment may be located.

    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of operating management.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite

    • Strong interpersonal skills to build close working relationship with customers.

    • Effective team player

    • Able to comfortably manage multiple assignments at one time, good time management skills.

    • Broad business and manufacturing perspective - in-depth understanding of transmission and axle plant operations and business practices.
