We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager, to play a strategic role in the development of our Data Solutions consulting services. In this role, you will direct projects within your technical specialty, ensuring the delivery of budgeted revenue and gross profit for your business line. You will collaborate with Strategic Account Managers and seller-doers across the company to coordinate and develop client project opportunities that align with offered services.
As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects of various sizes concurrently and interact with senior technical leads on complex projects. You will also identify and pursue strategic opportunities to expand our technical services and capabilities. We are looking for someone highly skilled in leveraging GIS technology, integrity, and operator experience to manage utility assets, including data analysis, data management, data migrations, technology strategy, and business-centric planning and development.
You'll be responsible for managing all assigned projects to meet performance indicators set by clients or internally, including schedule performance, project budget performance, project profitability, client relationship and satisfaction, and project quality control. You will implement and monitor quality control systems for all assigned projects, accurately forecast fee revenue on a monthly basis, and identify additional opportunities to partner with clients through existing engagements. Additionally, you will assist in developing and implementing strategic growth plans for the Business Unit and Firm, track resource requirements for all assigned projects and communicate needs to the BUL and identify key talent and resources required for the Business Unit.
You will also prepare or assist in preparing proposals, participate in sales calls and client presentations, develop, and maintain quality relationships with clients, and collaborate with other Business Units to provide clients comprehensive solutions that are built on cross-disciplines.
In this role, you are enabled to be at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and utilizing tools such as, Microsoft Copilot, bespoke AI workflow tools, and an IT team dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation to enhance our operations and drive efficiency. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Geospatial Technology, Computer science from an accredited university or equivalent technical degree
Minimum of 8 years of work experience. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the pipeline industry related to Integrity Management, Engineering and data applications
Minimum of 2 years' experience with ESRI-based products
Proficiency with the Esri technology platform applied to utilities
Project management experience
Strong industry contacts and knowledge of the industry
Experience working with or for a Utility Operator
Experience working with pipeline engineering teams and an understanding of the pipeline use cases and utility technology system drivers
Ability to design project execution plans leveraging SME input and then lead the execution of the established project plan using a variety of team skill levels
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to non-technical and technical audiences
IT and or Agile project management experience is a plus
Experience with data models including Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) and ArcGIS Utility Network
Collaborative approach to problem solving
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to build relationships with clients and staff members
Unquestioned business and personal integrity
Project Management Credentials/Certifications Preferred (e.g. Scrum Master, PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.)
Awareness of Smallworld for utilities
Intermediate or Advanced skills with Integrity Management
Ability to mentor staff and team members in best practices and guide them to relevant training information for short term project goals and long-term career goals
Involvement in industry groups, such as AGA, Esri user groups, or other relevant industry focused organizations
Awareness of technology advancements and potential evolutions impacting the utility space
Experience with various technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture is a plus
