    Job Description

    Every Endoscope Technician, Team Lead must understand and accept the responsibility to ensure the safety of all Olympus products that are repaired, by following established processes and procedures. Under direction of their Shift Supervisor, the Team Lead shall evaluate, troubleshoot, disassembly, assemble, repair and or inspect Endoscopes to assure proper function.

    All technicians, Team Leads must have sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools (such as screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers); experience or ability to work with microscopes, test equipment (such as light sources, video processors, mega ohm testers)and hand soldering, where applicable; good communication skills (both verbal and written); the ability to read and follow manuals, work instructions, job standards and related information; possess basic computer skills (including keyboard and mouse skills); and must be customer focused oriented.

    Job Duties

    • Lead team to accomplish throughput targets by distributing service orders among technicians Inspect and perform repair tasks on complex service orders.

    • Supervise team in absence of supervisor.

    • Distribute job as per the list of repairs provided by supervisor on daily basis and updates based on requirements.

    • Ensure Troubleshooting gets daily upon repair finding.

    • Ensures understanding and follow all OCI Work instructions, Es-web, follow established procedure and policies.

    • Ensure technicians accurately complete Discrepancy Material Notice based on requirement reports.

    • May be required to rotate through different parts of the repair and inspection group to ensure succession.

    • Work closely with the engineering group both to support new production introduction or new repair introduction.

    • Meet or exceed KPI related to production.

    • Ensure that technical service global guideline is met or exceeded per management direction.

    • Assist Supervisors with hiring new Technical Staff.

    • Assess and validate that 5S' is being perform by each technician daily.

    • Holds meeting (Huddles) when supervisor is not on production floor or when requested by supervisor.

    • Provide feedback to supervisor on observations, improvements, workflow processes made by staff.

    • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

    • Minimum of 3 years "Lead" or "Supervisor" experience in a production/manufacturing environment or a minimum of 5 years' experience as an internal Endoscope Technician II is required.

    Preferred:

    • Ability to perform multiple endoscope repair tasks.

    • Skilled in teambuilding, goal achievement and motivation is preferred.

    • Knowledge of production techniques for work in process management is preferred.

    • Basic knowledge of quality concepts and quality improvement techniques is essential.

    • Basic knowledge of parts acquisition and inventory control is preferred.

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

    • Problem solving skills, and timely decision-making skills are all preferred.

    • Must possess the ability to effectively delegate tasks to technicians to meet goals.

    • Must possess the ability to develop and motivate a team.

    • Work overtime as needed.
