    The Gund Company is seeking a full time Team Lead for our 3rd Shift!

    Work Hours: Sunday Night - Friday Morning, 10:00pm - 7:00am

    Starting hourly wage: $26 - $32/hour, plus a 20% shift premium for third shift.

    Plant location: 809 Phillip Drive, Waukesha, WI

    Job Summary

    Coordinating the shift to include directing the work for 4-6 Machine Operators), supplying the materials (55 gallon drums of resin via forklift to the Machine Operators, moving the end products on pallets to storage, supplying Machine Operators with empty pallets...) Report to the Production Supervisor. Make decisions and be responsible for workflow through the shop and technical training of the Machine Operators.

    Primarily serve as shift or work cell team lead that guides Machine Operators and projects of varying scope

    • Serve as a technical resource and team leader for Machine Operators. (Keep materials supplied to Operators)
    • Train and develop less experienced operators and participate in their development in partnership with Value Stream Manager.
    • Provide guidance, feedback and positive behavior modeling The Gund Company culture of care.
    • Trouble-shooting end products (ie: non-conforming parts, not meeting standards) and troubleshoot machinery (collaborate with maintenance as needed)
    • Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency.

    We will teach you new skills as you learn to manage your shift and operate and troubleshoot all machinery.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications and Competencies

    • Ability to be flexible in situations when production needs change unexpectedly.
    • Intermediate math skills & aptitude.
    • Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and effectively. (tape measure, calipers, micrometers...)
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed

    Education and Experience

    • 2-3 years of experience, required (but will consider experience and post-high school education).
    • Fork Lift experience, required
    • Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is typical of most shop environments, not climate controlled and impacted by outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.

    • Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.
    • May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
