Tax Accountant

Description We are looking to appoint a seasoned Tax Accountant in Wayzata, Minnesota. This role involves offering top-quality tax compliance, consulting, and wealth management services to high-net-worth families, individuals, and their related entities. The selected candidate will be a part of a dynamic and dedicated team, working to resolve straightforward customer issues using sound judgment based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Regularly meet and correspond with clients, attorneys, CPAs, and other vendors to service the client cooperatively.

• Coordinate tax services for clients.

• Lead and mentor tax associates, interns, and other team members.

• Keep client files and records up-to-date.

• Foster internal relationships to boost the team's efficiency.

• Provide compliance services and financial statement preparation.

• Handle estate tax returns, trust tax returns, and individual tax returns.

• Work with high-net-worth individuals, providing them with tax and wealth management services.

• Ensure federal tax compliance and address any related issues.

• Utilize strong analytical and planning skills to manage and prioritize daily workload. Requirements - Proficiency in tax compliance and ensuring adherence to federal tax laws

• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements

• Experience with estate tax and estate tax return preparation

• Familiarity with trust tax principles and application

• Capability to manage tax affairs of high-net-worth individuals

• Proficiency in individual tax return preparation

• Must have relevant certification and/or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in using accounting and tax preparation software

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly

• Knowledge of recent tax laws and regulations.
