Systems Engineer

ManTech is seeking a motivated, cleared Systems Engineer with a proven track record designing, deploying, securing and maintaining enterprise solutions in support of a secure Microsoft enterprise at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Information Technology and Information Security, have a strong background designing, building, maintaining, and securing technical enterprise solutions, preferably with experience in on premise and cloud virtualization technologies, patch management and vulnerability management and backup planning and configuration. Must be willing to share your expertise and learn the expertise of others to facilitate the development of a well-rounded technical skill set.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The candidate will be responsible for working within an engineering team to develop secure technical solutions to solve business problems. Design, build, install, configure, operate, and maintain all current and future Information Systems.

• Duties and responsibilities involve research, design, build of secure enterprise solutions to include on premise and cloud servers and workstations as well as maintaining system documentation, analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies, and ensuring optimal Information System performance.

• Manage infrastructure components, including: Storage systems, Servers, Databases, Virtual machines, Backup systems, and Patch management.

• Conduct market research and implement best practices.

• Ensure secure engineering concepts and adhere to security compliance.

• Utilize Ivanti for patch management.

• Perform ACAS scanning to ensure compliance with security standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 4 years of experience. (additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)

• Security+ At least 4 years of experience focused on Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019.

• Understanding of enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances.

• At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, and O365.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience Deploying VM's in Azure

• MCSE or GIAC Certification

• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems

• Knowledge of iOS Operating Systems

• Administration of VMware, Hyper-V

• Familiar with Ivanti for patch management.

• Experience with ACAS scanning to support security compliance

Clearance Required:

• Active DoD Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
