  • Description:

    You will be a Staff Sustainment Engineer for the Lower Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense Line of Business team. Our team is responsible for executing logistics and sustainment engineering activities to ensure the success of our products and meet customer needs.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Staff Sustainment Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with design engineers to implement design for sustainment concepts, ensuring our products meet maintainability, testability, and life cycle cost requirements.

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Coordinating support from development and sustainment teams to achieve desired results

    • Assisting with detailed planning and providing task and status visibility to ensure alignment and synchronization

    • Creating strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, supportability, and reliability

    • Translating requirements into design guidelines for design teams

    • Analyzing engineering design and submitting specifications for maintenance requirements

    • Developing predictions, allocations, testing, and modeling to verify maintainability performance

    • Defining repair concepts and developing maintenance tasks for field and depot repairable items

    • Documenting design and maintenance actions via SLICwave

    MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

    • Working knowledge of predictions, allocations, testing and modeling to verify maintainability performance.

    • Strong business acumen and defining strategy.

    • Systems lifecycle management across multiple Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) disciplines.

    • Knowledge in design, implementation, and delivery of sustainment solutions.

    • Knowledge in repair concepts and facility sustainment requirements.

    • Ability to develop positive relationships with suppliers and customers.

    • Strong process discipline with focus on efficiency and optimization.

    • Familiarity with sustainment products/tools.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with IAMD products, PAC-3 Missile and Ground Systems, and sustainment of those products.

    • Experience with depot operations sustainment principles and sustainment tools.

    • Risk identification and management.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
