    Surest is actively seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Looker consultant to support analytics capabilities and scalability for Surest. This Looker consultant will join our Business Intelligence team, part of the larger Performance Analytics team at Surest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Looker BI tool, including the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards. This role also involves overseeing user access and performing various administrative tasks specific to Looker to ensure seamless and efficient BI operations across the team and the broader organization.     Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards in Looker

    • Build, review, and maintain backend LookML infrastructure (i.e., views and Explores)

    • Manage user access and permissions within Looker

    • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining delivery schedules, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their BI needs and translate them into effective Looker solutions

    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Looker environment

    • Provide training and support to end-users on Looker functionalities and best practices

    • Stay updated with the latest Looker features and industry best practices to continuously improve our BI capabilities

    • Support preparation and delivery of healthcare analytic deliverables, including regular and ad-hoc consultative/analytic support as defined by the internal and external stakeholders

    • Communicate information openly and in an articulate and professional manner

    Required Qualifications:

    • 4+ years of experience with Looker -OR- 2+ years of experience with Looker and 2+ years of experience with another Business Intelligence tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight)

    • 2+ years of demonstrated detailed experience with healthcare analytics in medical claims and/or pharmacy claims

    • 2+ years of experience using SQL to extract, manipulate, and summarize healthcare data with fluency in joining data and common table expressions (CTE)

    • 2+ years of experience translating business requirements into deployed analyses

    • Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting complex data questions

    • Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL, and data visualization principles

    • Demonstrated ability working successfully with cross functional teams to resolve complex data issues

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced proficiency with Looker

    • Experience with JIRA and github

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
