Distribution Representative 1

The Distribution Representative 1 is responsible for performing various warehousing tasks and assignments, while adhering to OSHA regulations in performing work tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Offloading the trailer, verifying the product, understanding the product types, accurate counting, using RF scanner, ability to receive using ASNs (Advance Ship Notices) , ability to troubleshoot at time of receiving (escalating as appropriate), full understanding of PO vs. receipt, how to search for PO or an ASN, report damage;

• Accurately process receipts physically and systematically using BAAN;

• Track products to a storage rack/shelve/bin/bulk location as needed using BAAN;

• Unload and physical assemble equipment prior to preflight staging;

• Utilize functions including the accurate selection of product from warehouse locations to complete customer orders;

• Match product descriptions and quantities to the information on the orders using RF scanner;

• Stock items to the appropriate storage rack/shelve/bin/bulk location in a timely manner using BAAN;

• Verify the right products were picked for each order and add protective packaging prior to shipping;

• Process and control shipments using BAAN, Scancode, and manifest on a daily basis;

• Maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness standards of the warehouse, and in particular individual workstations;

• Comply with Company and Legislative Health and Safety Standards;

• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

• Post Secondary Education

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a warehouse environment and/or related experience

Knowledge & Skills:

• Basic understanding of ERP system, BAAN preferred

• Basic knowledge of RF Scanners

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Ability to use material handling equipment (i.e. Pallet jacks, pump trucks)

• Ability to meet assigned deadlines

• Good verbal and written communication skills
