    The Electronics Materials business of BASF offers process chemicals and customized formulated solutions for the semiconductor and display industry, as well as specialized metal systems for consumer electronics and industrial applications.     Objectives of the position:

    The Electronics Materials (EDM) North America Supply Chain head is responsible to develop, monitor and review the implementation of all logistics activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of products, and materials according to relevant business strategies, policies, procedures / practices, corporate and government EHS regulations in handling product transportation and safeguard a reliable order processing and inventory stock level. The role requires leading a team of roughly four specialists for Customer Support and Supply Chain Planning, to ensure we are meeting and/or exceeding the expectations of our customers and internal stakeholders. This also involves driving strong collaboration with internal teams based in Germany and Taiwan for streamlined arrangement of key accounts' demand and supply processes.

    Main Tasks and Formula for Success:

    People development

    Develop the team members by coaching, motivating and improving day to day operation with professional handling. Delegate to subordinates based on competence and willingness to accept responsibility.

    Business management

    Participate in the development and implementation of the company's business strategy and budget planning by providing logistics inputs to support decisions on costing, pricing policy and efficient product distribution. Enhance competitiveness by introducing new concepts, establishing network and obtaining market intelligence to improve the services.

    Function management

    Determine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), unit structure, performance objectives and standards, team member performance measurement and improvement, budget, expenditures and cost control. Understand customer needs and improve customer satisfaction.

    Logistic operations

    Translate sales transactions into transportation plans and oversee the implementation in arranging shipments, planning delivery and schedules according to supply/customer requirements, product specifications and corporate/ government / company requirement on transportation taking into consideration the corporate/ mandatory transportation requirements. Manage the process to prepare for certificates of origin and co-ordination with sales personnel to gather and interpret requirements to ensure integration with customs process.

    Customer services

    Establish and maintain a customer services system to track the service levels, especially the availability and reliability of delivery, so as to analyze potential drawbacks for improvements and take corrective measures. When necessary, take responsibility for the damage claim to protect the interests of the company.

    Distribution network strategy and design

    Design, develop, maintain and review the distribution network strategies, warehousing and transportation operations and carrier strategies across the business units to optimize costs with special attention paid to bulk and package distribution, risk evaluation to meet or exceed customer requirements on product handling/delivery. Keep monitoring the development of logistic costs to optimize costs and delivery performance.

    Digitalization

    Work closely with the internal EDM, as well as GB or EDG teams to develop and maintain automation level for efficient/effective operations. Continuously improvement on digitalization topic including but not limited to process improvement, Power BIs report, and utilize Power Automate tools.

    Educational & licenses requirements

    • Master's degree in business or supply chain preferred.

    • 8-10 years of relevant experience, Supply planning, SAP, APO or other relevant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) knowledge is preferred

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate.

    • Experience in handling international demand and supply business is preferred, especially in semiconductor industry is preferred.

    • Bilingual in both Chinese and English is preferred

    • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders i.e. local, global etc. and deliver the task within specified timeline

    • APICS certification will be an added advantage
