    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel in a central medical supply area engaged in furnishing sterile and non-sterile medical supplies and equipment used in patient care and treatment. Supervises staff conformance with policies and procedures related to the handling, sterilization, cleaning, maintenance, storage, and assembly of patient care supplies, equipment, and instruments. Assists in management of supply room staff to include performance management, continual improvement, training and education and communication of updates to policies and procedures.

    • Supervises supply room employees in the proper receiving storing handling and issuing sterile and non-sterile medical equipment and supplies per organizational standards.

    • Monitors medical equipment/supplies inventory and utilization levels and orders as needed to ensure adequate availability of patient care and treatment materials.

    • Supervises staff conformance with policies and procedures related to the handling sterilization cleaning maintenance storage and assembly of patient care supplies equipment and instruments.

    • Assists in management of supply room staff to include performance management continual improvement training and education and communication of updates to policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Materials Management or Accounts Payable within a healthcare organization Three (3) years' experience in invoice resolution working with requisitioners vendors and Accounts Payable

    Pay Range

    $32.08 - $46.51 /hour
