    Position Summary:

    Bio-Techne is seeking a highly motivated and creative Supervisor to lead a cross-functional team engaged in Antibody Validation especially using Flow Cytometry, ELISA and bioassay. The successful candidate will have the expertise in state-of-the art Flow Cytometry methods and should be familiar with ELISA, and bioassay methodologies, and a general understanding of Cell and Gene Therapy. This position will support an innovative pipeline of new product development and both internal and external collaborations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team responsible for validation of antibodies using Flow Cytometry (primarily), and supported by other assay methods including ELISA, molecular biology techniques, cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, and bioassay when required.

    • Support operations and manufacturing QC for commercial product testing, release and troubleshooting when needed.

    • Act as liaison with the Custom Development, Quality Assurance, Applications teams, and CDMOs to identify and understand customer needs.

    • Oversee multiple Flow Cytometry antibody validation projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.

    • Be a technical resource to your team, responsible for experimental design, data collection and interpretation.

    • Strong presentation and analytical skills are a necessary part of this high visibility role, including technical presentations to both internal and external groups as required.

    • Train and mentor team members, providing technical direction and guidance in all aspects of their work.

    • Act within management guidelines and policies, helping ensure employee/ team goals and objectives are achieved successfully

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Requires a minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years of relevant experience

    • OR a Ph.D. or M.S. or equivalent, along with 2-5 years of experience in immunology, biochemistry, cell biology or a related field in a professional setting

    • Prior people leadership experience as part of a cross-functional team is preferred. Up to 2 years in a supervisory capacity is preferred.

    • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Flow Cytometry, immunoassay, cell-based assays.

    • Must have successful track record of new product development

    • Must have the ability to identify and define process improvement procedures.

    • Must have demonstrated ability in supporting the work of others in complex projects involving cross-functional teams

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Solid knowledge of Flow Cytometry techniques and instrumentation.

    • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills

    • Management of intense workloads and time constraints.

    • Time and priority management.

    • interpersonal skills to identify and establish a purposeful team culture.

    • Accomplish business unit objectives by supervising staff and organizing work processes.

    • Relaying information from upper management to employees and vice versa

    • Strong team player and self-starter as well as ability to work independently.

    • Strong organization skills and attention to details
