    The Revenue Integrity department ensures that Revenue Cycle staff and activity are in compliance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulations and organizational policies. It achieves this by collaborating with Revenue Cycle Task Force committees and processes for Hospital, Physician, Pharmacy, Pacific Islanders, Worker compensation, and direct oversight and management of the Billing, Charge Description Management, Coding, Admissions and Financial Service functions.

    As the Ambulatory Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Coding Supervisor, you will develop and implement strategies and on-going activities that support improved physician documentation practices and an increased accuracy of the patient problem list. You will direct and supervise the physician coding educators while providing leadership, consultation, and education related to the ambulatory/outpatient CDI program. We are looking for someone focused and detail-oriented with a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai'i.

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or healthcare related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Five (5) years of work experience in a healthcare business office, ambulatory or hospital outpatient setting performing physician coding and/or hospital outpatient diagnosis coding. Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) certification through a nationally recognized CDI Specialist program within one (1) year of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or healthcare related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current CDI certification. Previous supervisory responsibility of a coding staff and Hierarchical Category Condition (HCC) coding and risk adjustment models.
