We are currently looking for hard-working and career-driven individuals to join our survey and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) field crews. The primary responsibility is to assist the Crew Chief in completing the crew's assigned field survey or utility locating projects. This role involves using underground utility locating equipment and digging test holes to measure the depth of underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Chief in completing field survey or utility locating projects.

• Use underground utility locating equipment.

• Dig test holes to measure the depth of underground utilities.

• Perform heavy physical labor, including the operation of Vac Truck Equipment, jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, air lance, and utility locating equipment.

• Perform daily basic maintenance on equipment.

• Cross-train in surveying and support survey crews as needed.

Essential Skills

• Reliable and hard-working.

• Desire to grow a career within geomatics, surveying, construction, subsurface utility engineering, and related fields.

• Ability to perform heavy labor and work outside in extreme heat and weather.

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school education or GED.

• Previous utility locating or survey experience is a plus.

• Willingness to travel, potentially extensively, up to 5 days during the week.

• Overtime required as needed.

This role involves working outdoors in extreme Florida weather conditions. The team consists of 29 field employees running 2-4 man crews. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00
