    About this Opportunity

    Celestica's Global Supply Chain operates as a unified virtual system with our customers and suppliers by acting as seamless extensions of their operations. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in two key areas of our Global Supply Chain organisation: Product Data Management (PDM) and Material Pricing (MP) for our growing base of Medical Device customers and products.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Organization and Time Management

    • Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Data Analysis with Excel)

    • Attention to detail

    • Ability to review, interpret, and analyze technical information

    • Project Management experience is an asset

    • Understanding of supply chain process is an asset

    Activities:

    Product Data Management

    • Receive and convert Customer product data for a broad range of medical devices into formats used by our internal systems (Bills of Materials, preferred supplier information)

    • Work with internal and external customers to identify and resolve data integrity issues

    • Ensures the proper storage and ease of retrieval of the data

    • Disseminates notification of data readiness and/or distributes data as appropriate

    Material Pricing

    • Prepares material pricing solutions for new business opportunities (bids)

    • Collaborate with global customer unit, customer, program management, business proposal lead, finance and/or sales to determine material pricing strategy

    • Project manage supply chain solution with commodity management, costing teams, engineering teams to deliver desired pricing and margin solutions

    • Provide insight and recommendations to support external (customers or suppliers) negotiations

    Physical Demands:

    • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

    • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

    • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

    Experience: No formal experience is required

    Education: Currently enrolled in an Internship program completing 3rd year of 4-year University program or 2nd year of 3-year Diploma program specializing in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering (preferably specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering).
