Come join our team in the role of Strategic Marketing Manager! The Strategic Marketing and Business Development Manager will be responsible for facilitating long-term portfolio strategy planning for all Canadian broad-acre portfolios. This role involves leading cross-functional Local Product Concept Teams with the purpose of guiding the allocation of resources to meet the emerging needs of Canadian farmers. Additionally, the Strategic Marketing and Business Development Manager will enable each portfolio strategy by spearheading Canadian Business Development efforts.
As a member of the Crop Protection Marketing Team, the successful candidate will collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, Accounts, Supply Chain, Integrated Field Science, Regulatory, and Global Business Development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the development of broad-acre portfolio plans, including new product concepts and lifecycle management, by leading cross-functional Local Product Concept Teams.
Define annual objectives and priorities for each Local Product Concept Team in consultation with Portfolio Marketing Managers, the Crop Protection Marketing Leader, and the Canadian Leadership Team.
Lead Local Product Concept Teams by setting agendas, facilitating meetings, driving participation, ensuring accountability, and communicating outcomes.
Support Portfolio Marketing Managers through the annual Innovation Management Process to ensure the allocation of R&D and Regulatory resources required to support the portfolio plan.
Lead Canadian Business Development efforts to support new product concepts and lifecycle management.
Represent the Canadian business within Global Business Development teams to ensure global efforts align with Canadian needs.
Enable new product launches through participation in Supply Chain development projects.

This position will work across western Canada.
Preferred location is Calgary, Alberta
Depending on location, travel can be up to 20%, including overnight travel.
