    As a strategy manager on the emerging experience innovation team, you will be leading innovation and driving strategy for new concepts and optimization of existing store formats at Starbucks. You will be a part of a high-performing team and at the center of the emerging store experiences. This job will require creativity, data supported decision making, effective communication, and continuous pursuit of progress and learning. We are seeking a self-driven, organized, strategically minded individual to lead some of the most exciting store innovation work in the enterprise.

    As a strategy manger, you will...

    • Drive the purpose-defined strategy - You will be responsible for contributing short- and long-term strategy through a blend of format performance evaluation, consumer and competitive insights, and brand and partner considerations.

    • Lead the development of big bet innovation - Lead the development of new concepts, including collaborating and actively problem solving with cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and strong execution of innovation.

    • Facilitate the innovation process - Lead cross-functional teams through the design thinking methodology. Regularly provide learnings and insights and produce results and recommendations throughout the process.

    • Inspire and influence others - Partner with Store Operations, Design, Tryer, and other key teams to drive concepts to reach their full potential. Additionally, you will provide recommendations to senior leaders across both the SSC and regions.

    • Manage others - You will set goals for the work team and actively providing partners with coaching, feedback and development opportunities and modeling leadership behavior for the larger team.

    • Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles

    We'd love to hear from people with:

    • Progressive experience in strategy management, 6-10 years

    • Project leadership in a cross-functional environment, 6-10 years

    • Progressive experience leading the development and implementation of new or existing product, format concepts or strategies

    • 5+ years' experience in financial forecasting, in-depth analytics, business case development and P&L management

    • Experience managing others, 3+ years

    • MBA Strongly preferred

    *If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

    The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
