    The Market Planning Manager partners closely with regional Store Development and Store Operations leaders to evolve and grow the Starbucks store portfolio. This role is a unique opportunity to serve as a strategic consultant and influence real estate and reinvestment plans. Key workstreams include growth strategy, retail analysis, portfolio planning, and strategic initiative support.

    Successful candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and have a growth mindset. The role requires strong analytical capabilities across financial, real estate, and macro-economic domains to synthesize actionable insights that inform the collective plan.

    As a strategic market planning manager, you will:

    • Contribute to the creation, development, and prioritization of growth strategies, plans, and goals.

    • Provide research, quantitative analysis, and modeling to analyze current and potential opportunities, business plans, competition, and performance.

    • Support planning and deployment of Starbucks key strategies across real estate, trade area optimization, new store growth, store relocations, and store concept optimization.

    • Utilize data to guide Starbucks leaders in crucial network optimization and store format decisions.

    • Research and develop strategic recommendations to create critical value to clients, markets, business units and the company.

    • Apply analytical methods to quantify threats and to identify opportunities to increase market share and/or identify organic growth opportunities.

    • Lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity by integrating data, cross-functional expertise, and prior learnings to navigate constantly changing market dynamics.

    We'd love to hear from people with:

    • Analytic skills: Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data

    • Collaboration skills : Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners

    • Influencing & negotiation skills : Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action

    • Presentation skills : Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small, and large groups, and with peers and managers.

    • Financial and business acumen : Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math

    • Systems and tools acumen : Proficiency in geographic information systems (ArcGIS), Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and aptitude to learn technical applications quickly

    • MBA or other master's degree preferred

    • Experience in statistics, modeling, business intelligence and spatial analytics.

    • Ability to travel outside of home province 10%-15% of the time
