Job Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Strategic Account Mager will be located at our Charles E. Gillman Facility in Rio Rico AZ or at a remote office location. The position requires experience in interconnectivity solution sales to military prime contractors with experience in the military ground vehicle market preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Management and further development of current accounts and programs.
· New program & account development to major defense contractors.
· Identify and approach new potential strategic customers.
· Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams.
· Meet sales objectives and department key performance indicators.
· Travel to customer locations as required (40%-50%).
· Provide sales forecasts and account plans.
· Handle customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
· Update job knowledge and professional development by participating in educational and networking opportunities.
· Such other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
· Understanding of electrical interconnectivity cable assembly and wire harness products for military applications.
· Proven account management experience and strong interpersonal skills.
· Ability to create positive, lasting relationships with customers.
· Excellent problem solving, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
· Strong communication skills both written and orally.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
· Technically confident with the ability to present solutions to engineering teams in the defense industry.
· Hands on experience with CRM software.
· Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven, fast paced environment.
· Minimum of 5 years sales experience managing major defense contractors.
· College degree required.
