    • Facility: Wesley Chapel Hospital

    • Location: Wesley Chapel

    • Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

    • Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:30PM

    • Weekend Work: Occasional

    • On Call: Yes

    Title: Sterile Processing Operations Coordinator

    • Ensures the timely and efficient completion of instrumentation and case carts for use in the O.R. and C.V.O.R. by monitoring the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department.

    • Identifies orientation and education needs of staff.

    • Assists in designing and developing programs to promote education and enhance their technical knowledge.

    • Assists the department manager with the development and implementation of new programs and systems.

    • Screens candidates for replacement positions and participates in the completion of annual performance and competency evaluations.

    • Promotes communication and collaboration among staff to enhance end products provided to areas serviced.

    • Responsible for a pro-active quality programs, reporting of quality plan, goals and monitors for compliance.

    • Assumes responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager.

    • Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.

    • Required specific skills also includes operational skills.

    Certification & Licensure:

    • Required - Sterile Processing Certification

    • Required - CBSPD Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist

    Education:

    • High School or Equivalent

    Experience:

    • Preferred - Hospital Experience
